Follow the driver installation wizard, which will guide you; it should be pretty easy to follow. I thought I could because I watched t. If your capture card doesn’t work, it usually boils down to poor drivers. EMC8 made things worse with bad audio. I was assuming that ivtv would be the correct module to use, but I’m not sure.
Only thing I find is this: I realize that this thread is no longer active, but I managed to somewhat solve the issue, and shall post my findings here so that any fellow googlers with a similar problem can get it working.

I don’t know what to tell ya. The best advice I can give here is to mess with the number until it yeilds desired results. I think I may just look for a new card to work with in linux, since I may get no where with this. I’m going to see if the guys from mythtv know something about the issue but if some one knows something please share. I set to channel 2 to get the composite inputs to work. This just doesn’t appear fallcon. Only download this driver. I need to contact HP Support to deal with this, unless there is a way around.
I wonder why this is so different to configure. Thanks for the input!!! As for audio playback, I don’t know how to set this up, or if setting up is necessary, as my video device does not, at the time of writing, have audio, so I can’t help there.
